Patchwork pattern on clothes has apparently been prevalent since a long long time that dates back to over a thousand years. The only difference between then and now is that back in the days it was kind of a necessity and now it’s fashion. Patchwork trend has caught up in the recent years, with everything ranging from denims to skirts to dresses to jackets, all having patches of different shapes and sizes. It’s interesting to see contrasting prints and panels being sewn together to make one big mismatched print.

According to latest trend reports, patchworks are in this season. One sure way to rock the trend and not look like a homeless person is to keep it minimal. Don’t go overboard with patchwork unless you are confident that you can carry it off well. If you are opting for a patchwork skirt, it’s best to keep the top plain and simple. Similarly, if it’s a patchworked jeans, again, try and keep the top simple.

I’m always up for quirky and fun. And this pink skirt by Leelan is nothing less than quirky. The skirt has an extensive patchwork pattern with different fabrics and prints.

One thing I totally love about long floor length skirts is that they give you an illusion of being tall. And they look fashionable on any given day. You could wear it to office or while going out with friends. I feel like there’s a certain old world charm about long skirts. They’re feminine, flirty and cool and at the same time they could be edgy, bold and tomboy chic. It all depends on how you style it. Skirts, in my opinion are one of the most versatile clothing items.

The top, also from Leelan, feels really soft on the skin. It’s comfortable and stylish. And the floral scarf sure helps to keep things fun and girly.
